I know I know. I haven’t posted anything on this site for eons. You see, I suffer from a condition with a fancy name that I’m sure everyone has heard of: procrastination. But it also goes by another name: laziness. Anyway, I am hoping to end this long dry spell with this post, and hopefully many more.
I am debating whether or not I should take a trip to California this weekend. I have been promising my young girlfriend that I would go to the speedway motorcycle races at Perris Raceway for a couple of months now. Not only do I love the racing, but Cayla and her mother and her mom’s boyfriend Ronnie will be there. In fact, Ronnie will be racing his speedway bike. I really like Cayla’s family, and all the people that attend the races. Cayla knows everyone there, and she takes me around to meet them.
So do I go to the races, and spend money for a rental car and hotel room, and have a great time, or do I skip the event, and pay my bills? I have never been one to put my financial obligations over the chance to have a good time. But I have an extraordinarily high phone bill this month, partly due to to the fact that I bought an iPad Pro 12.9 inch recently. As a matter of fact, I am currently typing this post on it, and I am planning to do all or most of my writing on it from now on.
I really want to go. I went to the races this past December and February. At the former event, I had the time of my life. And I have the pictures to prove it. The latter event wasn’t as great as the first one, and I really didn’t expect it to be. But I still had a good time, and met even more new friends.
I am a master manipulator when it comes to bill paying. I can get extensions and hardship payment plans. As long as I pay my rent, I don’t really have anything to worry about. Those other bills are administered by huge corporations. They will survive without my small payment amount. The CEOs of the companies will still get their million dollar a month paychecks. The problem is that they will make my life miserable until I pay up.
Hey, I put together a pretty long post here, didn’t I? Quite an accomplishment for a procrastinating slacker like me. I better end this now while I am ahead. The next time I post, I will fill you in on what happened regarding the above situation. I may write about what a great time I had, or about how much I missed going to Perris. Until then, have a great day!
